What is Functional Fitness / Strength Training?

The key to functional fitness is getting the muscles to work together in order to perform everyday activities. These exercises are mostly done standing on your own and supporting your weight while engaging your core stabilizing muscles, along with the other muscle groups needed to complete the exercise. Imagine putting your body in an every day activity such as bending over and then exercising all the muscles needed to carry out that activity. Once a strong foundation is acquired, destabilization with stability balls, wobble boards, strong boards, Bosu©, and big blue stability discs are added for a more dynamic workout.

services individual PERSONAL TRAINING

One on one training in any combination: strength, core conditioning, balance, cardio and flexibility. Preparing for a special event? Activity? Or just life!

SEMI-PRIVATE TRAINING

Two participants and one trainer work together to asemi privatechieve your combined goals. A great combination for two good friends or a husband and wife duo. Both participants must schedule class time together as one unit.

Small groupSMALL GROUP TRAINING

Groups of 3 – 4 work independently and together to achieve strength, core strength, balance and flexibility with a little cardio in the mix. Individuals meet with the group one, two or three times a week. Sessions run in 2 month intervals. New participants will participate in 5 personal training sessions before entering a group.

Trilogy is an official Madd Dog spinning studio. Spinning is offered as part of a small group workout or a dedicated spinning only small group activity.
